You want to start with Vitamin C? Bring Glow into your life?
Like I mentioned in my article "Oh my Glow", concentrations up to 10 % are very good to start with if you have sensitive skin or for permanent use.
Here, I listed a couple Vitamin C serums up to 10 %.
The concentration and listed ingredients refer to the manufacturer`s information. It`s not the complete ingredients list. Some of them I tested myself and gave a quick impression below.
Get yourself some ideas according to your budget and the concentration you favorise...
Serums
**Price/100ml
Concentration: 0.6 %
Contains: Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate + Green tea
Packaging: Transparent, light pipette bottle
My test: Definitely brightening effect!
Texture: Light, milky serum, minimal to not oily
Concentration: 5%
Contains: Ascorbic Acid + Centella asiatica, Yuzu- and Grapefruit-Extract
Packaging: Transparent, light pipette bottle
My test: No effect noted.
Texture: Like dry oil.
Concentration: 5%
Contains: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Ascorbic Acid, Zinc, Aloe Vera
Packaging: Opaque pipette bottle
Concentration: 8 %
Contains: Propanediol, Ascorbic Acid, Alpha-Arbutin
Packaging: Dark brown pipette bottle
M. Asam Vitamin C Serum*, 56 €
Concentration: 10 %
Contains: Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbic Acid, Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, Hyaluronic acid, Vitamin E.
Packaging: Opaqe dispenser
My test: Leaves a slightly sticky film and pilling slightly. Also the dispenser didn`t work well.
Texture: White & light
Concentration: 10 %
Contains: L-Ascorbic Acid, Hyaluronic acid, DL-alpha-Tocopherol, Salicylic acid
Packaging: Orange pipette bottle
My test: Feels good on the skin, does not leave a film. Salicylic acid an advantage for oily skin. What was annoying, is that the serum totally sticks to the outside of the pipette. So you can ignore it or you take it off but then have a much higher consumption. They should really solve that problem.
Texture: Velvety to oily.
Concentration: 10 %
Contains: Ascorbic Acid, Hyaluronic acid, Thermal water, Peptides
Packaging: Brown ampoules
My test: Very good for traveling and protected against oxidation. 1 ampoule is enough for face, neck and cleavage for 1-2x.
Texture: Fluid to velvety, does not leave a sticky film.
Concentration: 10 %
Contains: Ascorbic Acid, Squalan, Caffeine
Packaging: Opaque dispenser
