The world of Korean cosmetics offers plenty of active ingredients. Some of them have been used for centuries and are now more popular than ever, and not just in Korea. The amount of experience and knowledge of the effectiveness of plant substances result in a number of the best cosmetic products we have.
Antioxidants
Vitamin C and E protect against environmental influences and free radicals, which contribute to premature skin aging and skin damage.

Bee venom
Stimulates collagen production and increases skin elasticity.
Mugwort
Comes from the Artemisia family. Has an anti-inflammatory, calming, anti-itching and regenerating effect.
Centella Asiatica
Also called tiger grass, has antibacterial and wound-healing properties. Has a skin-soothing effect, improves skin elasticity. Also used in products recommended for rosacea.
Fermented ingredients
Valuable vitamins and amino acids are produced by fermentation. Fermenting also improves the absorption of nutrients as the process breaks them down into smaller molecules. This results in increased effectiveness.

Galctomyces
Galactomyces belongs to the group of fungi. They are usually applied in fermented form and are rich in nutrients that are good for our skin. E.g. vitamins and amino acids. More on that in my next article here
Ginseng
Stimulates blood circulation, improves the absorption of vitamins in the skin, acts against free radicals and has a moisturizing effect.
Niacinamide
Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3. Its effects have been proven several times in studies. Among other things, it increases skin elasticity, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, moisturizes, reduces redness and sebum production.
Propolis
A popular ingredient for impure skin. Propolis has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. It soothes irritations and calms the skin. Very good for acne and pimples.
Rice
Antioxidant properties, helps to moisturize and smooth the skin. Folic acid is anti-inflammatory. Vitamin B12 supports cell renewal.

Snail Mucin
The mucus of the snails naturally contains glycoproteins, hyaluronic acid or glycolic acid. Snail Mucin has an antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, cell-renewing and skin-smoothing effects.
Tea
Active ingredients such as from green or black tea contain many antioxidants. Not only as a drink, it has beautifying properties.
