Not only from outside we can get antioxidants into our skin, we can also help out from the inside. By simply drinking them... :)
Green Tea is considered outstandingly healthy.
Rich in vitamins, amino acids, trace elements and mineral nutrients, caffeine/theine and catechines

Next to Vitamin C, A, B1, B2, B3, E, K Green Tea contains potassium, manganese, fluoride, iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and can therefore be clearly put into the category of Superfoods.
In correlation with Green Tea we often hear about polyphenols, catechines and flavonoids.
Most studies about the effects of Green Tea are made about the catechines (= flavanols). These are a subgroup of the flavonoids which belong to the polyphenols.
The catechines, however, are also the ingredient responsible for the bitter taste.

Green Tea has positive effects
(among others)
for the skin,
to the metabolism,
for the cardiovascular system,
to the performance doing sports (for that Matcha Tea is recommended)
and many more...
Here are some tips how to enjoy your Green Tea best
Steeping time 2 minutes
Most caffeine ist soluted after 30 seconds. The other ingredients follow after about 30 seconds and 1.5 minutes.
Temperature about 70 degrees Celcius, exceptions according to variety.
Enjoy without additives: Sugar, sweetener (incl. honey) reduces the effect of the Polyphenols, so best is to drink it pure.
Sencha has the highest concentration in Vitamin C (tea leaves, 250 mg/100 g), thereby it is interesing to know, that the fat-soluble Vitamins, A, E and K dissolve barely in the tea water. Vitamin C which is sensitive to heat, according to research and contrary to other varieties seems to be stabilized by further ingredients and doesn`tget lost.
